Hey Tour of Duty Fans!

I want to invite everyone to join in with this writing exercise. It is open to anyone looking to turn the TV off and write.  I hope to dig up a few more participants to write a fictional letter home from the point of view of any character from "Tour of Duty" (please ask the author's permission first if you plan to use a character as introduced in a Fanfic story). If you have any questions post them to the Fanfic Message Board or e-mail the webmaster and we will get back to you with an answer.

You do not have to be a trained writer to participate, just have fun and act like you are writing home from the characters point of view!

Here are the basic guidlines

1. Must be written from the point of view of a Tour of Duty Character from any season. You may choose a character from a fanfic story, provided you have received permission from the original author first.

2. All letters must be earmarked with a note to Pidd explaining where the letter falls in the TOD timeline. So when the reader goes to Letters to the World the letters will read in order. If you do good research you may even be able to include a date on the letter. Or make one up using the time line on the Hum 90 site.

3. Subject for the letter can be based on an event from the show or a purely fictional event.

4. Letter must stay true to the storyline of TOD (ie: you can not write home that Taylor was killed or wounded unless it actually happened in the TOD story)

5. All letters to be posted should be turned in to Pidd. Please proof the letter well, but intentional gramatical errors are allowed for the purpose of representing the way the character may have written the story.

6. Have fun and remember these are letters written home. Length should be limited to no more than three pages. (I think this is fair)

Ready...Set......GO! and HAVE FUN
